Fashion Focus: Sheikha Mozah bint Nasser Al Missned

This is the wife of the Emir of Qatar on a recent state visit to Spain. In my opinion her style is truly iconic. As a Middle-Eastern woman she dresses in line with her national and cultural identity whilst at the same time embracing high couture and polished sophistication. Her style is regal and timeless, with a 50s movie star quality. You just know that when you look back at photos of her in 30 years time, she will still come across as a strikingly elegant woman. And we all know that a mark of a great dresser is the ability to transcend fleeting trends.

When people speak of  Samantha Cameron as a fashion icon it really makes me laugh, especially when you put her side by side truly mesmerising women like this one, who at 59 years would completely eclipse her much younger rival on any occasion.

It really is laudable that Sam-Cam made so many 'best dressed' lists on the Royal Wedding. There is something incredibly bland in her style. I suspect that her appeal is purely confined to the broad demographic of overworked 30 something English women who identify a bright Reiss dress and a pair of high, clunky, Aldo pumps with full out glamour

I don't mean to knock her- but SamCam is really nothing extraordinary, sartorially speaking of course. I cannot speak for her work or her personal traits. I just wish people would stop positioning her as a trendsetter.

Best Dressed Royal Wedding II: Lady Sophie Windsor - A Lesson in Class

Lady Sophie Windsor deserves a round of applause for her immaculate polished ensemble and perfect makeup at the Royal Wedding. Finally, the British aristocracy steps up and gives us something truly glamourous yet refined.

Out of the guests whose pictures I've seen, I would place her as my personal favourite. Not only does she perfectly observe protocol with no bare arms or overflowing cleavage, she also looks radiant and incredibly elegant.

Also, 10/10 on the hat which perfectly frames her stunning face

More monarchically themed posts- I can't resist- after all, it is a national holiday of sorts. Check out these nails, both creepy and cool!

APPEAL FOR CHILDREACH INTERNATIONAL! Please Donate!

My friend Serge is cycling through India and up the Himalayas, for charity this summer.

"This summer I will be taking part in a 660km cycle challenge to cross the heights of the Himalayas for a children's charity. With a group of 9 other students, I will spend 18 days travelling 660km across the mountain passes in Northern India whilst reaching the altitudes of up to 4550m!

With your help I hope to raise £2400 by 9th of May, most of which will go towards community development projects of ChildReach International and some will cover the costs of travel. "

To do this he needs sponsorship from the lazy likes of us, who complacently sit on our arses whilst others do their bit. He tried to talk me into it, but I know my limits and sweating it out over hundreds of miles of boiling terrain may do my love handles exactly the sort of harm they require, but I'm afraid of what it might do to the team. Truly, no one deserves me asking to take 6 breaks a minute, moaning at every twist and turn.. and panting incessantly  even whilst rolling down hill... so for their sake, I'm sitting this one out.

Below is SJ raising money for the cause, whilst dressed as Sylvester. Please donate Here, even if its only a couple of pounds! It's a genuinely good cause and Serge is a genuinely GREAT guy and amazing person. GOOD LUCK!

Kate Middleton in Sarah Burton for Alexander McQueen

Here are photos of Kate Middleton in her Grace Kelly inspired gown by Sarah Burton for Alexander McQueen.

The dress is elegant and simple with beautiful lace detailing and a tightly fitted bodice. It's not what I imagined and I wish it had a longer train and slightly more drama, but nevertheless its stunning and does not eclipse Kate's natural charm and grace.

This sort of electric blue can sometimes look a tad tacky, but Tara deserves a pat on the back as she has finally got herself out of that rutt she's been in and looks happy and confident.
