CANNES FESTIVAL 2011: Proof that red carpets can be boring. BUT...

Yawn. The Cannes Film Festival was so crap this year that it took me to the very end  to summon the strength to blog about it. The event went by in a bland protracted flash of unmemorable gowns and general blandness.

Albeit one woman bought the goods and scored a homerun. Irina Shayk wearing Atelier Versace and I think, De Grisogono jewels. My jaw nearly hit the floor when I saw the pictures, she looked SENSATIONAL.

To me Versace is what real Italian fashion should be, sensual, classic, womanly and impossibly sexy- definitely not something that can be said of the king of gaudiness, Roberto Cavalli.

Atelier Versace is by far my favourite designer on the red carpet, and I have NEVER seen a woman look bad wearing it.

Irina kept her makeup natural and let her dress and the jewels do the talking. 10/10
