Cindy Sherman Exhibition at the MOMA

The Museum of Modern Art is currently home to a though-provoking exhibition by Cindy Sherman. Sherman masquerades as a myriad of characters from hairdresser to withered society belle, in an attempt to challenge our perceptions of identity and what it means to be the people we are.

I was utterly enthralled by the grotesque surrealism of her work and with how her on the surface realistic portrayals are threaded with veins of the absurd and the tragic.

Luckily I got a few good shots before the 'No Photography' policy was enforced. Another 'must-see' in NYC.
