I spy with my little eye....

Ever had that creepy sensation of being followed. An uneasy unshruggable feeling of being watched? Well such clandestine espionage isn't just home in reruns of Columbo and conspiracy blogs the world over.

Here are photos taken in Prague in the 1970s and 1980s of average citizens captured by secret police surveillance. There's something disquieting and sinister threaded through every one of these candid vignettes. However, there's also a certain artistry to the series and the unstaged frankness of captured moments of ordinary life.
